The UK population is ageing – ONS statistics show that over the next 50 years there will be an extra 8.6 million people aged 65+. That’s the roughly the population of London. The development sector is slowly starting to address the needs of these radical demographic changes. This means offering new lifestyle-led products for those looking to downsize as well as offering a greater range and quantum of accommodation with an element of care for those who need it.
