Zak recognises that early and continued engagement with key stakeholders is crucial to achieving a successful outcome
Since joining the Engagement team Zak has worked on a range of projects, which has seen him provide support to British Land’s regional asset teams; contribute to our successful public exhibition and follow up engagement strategy for the Monarch’s Quay development on the Liverpool waterfront and carry out extensive stakeholder audits at the outset of a number of projects in order to establish the political and community context behind sites.
Zak studied Politics and Modern History at the University of Manchester, where he became politically active in the student wing of the Labour party - serving as chair of Manchester Labour Students and as a Regional Coordinator for National Labour Students.
These experiences helped Zak to develop his understanding of local, regional and national politics and allowed him to build relationships with elected members in the North West. Before joining Iceni, Zak worked in the constituency office of a Stoke-on-Trent MP, assisting in the production of communications and engaging with constituents at meetings, events and surgeries.
