Following a period of time travelling and living in Vancouver she returned to the UK; working in the development management team at the London Borough of Hounslow for three years. During this time, she worked on a variety of projects including the training academy for Brentford FC and a number of complex infill development schemes. Following a year in a small consultancy in Hertfordshire she joined Iceni Projects in May 2025.

Sophie’s recent experience means she is well placed to develop strong relationships with local authorities, residents’ groups and technical consultants. She has experience of advising a variety of clients ranging from housebuilders to private individuals on the full spectrum of planning services from site appraisal and pre-application right through the discharging conditions. Sophie has a particular interest in the interface between planning and health, and the role planning plays in promoting healthy lifestyles.

Sophie is actively involved with the RTPI currently sitting at Vice Chair on the London Young Planners’ Committee.
