Since joining Iceni, Sandy has worked on a wide range of projects from managing client portfolios through to securing planning permission for larger residential schemes.
Sandy joined Iceni in 2015 having previously worked in the public and private sectors both in the UK and Australia. At Iceni, she has worked on a wide range of projects across London and the South-East – from large scale mixed use residential and commercial projects through to detailed development control work on property portfolios.
Sandy has helped progressed schemes from 100 to 1,200 new homes through planning. She is often involved from the first inception of the project and developing the planning strategy, right through to liaising with various stakeholders including the LPA and GLA, and coordinating with the wider technical team. Post-decision, her experience is often sought to provide ongoing planning advice and discharge conditions. Sandy has also worked on larger long term Master planning projects, where issues such as heritage, MOL, education needs and land assembly are key considerations. Sandy’s experience also includes smaller residential projects – often within constrained urban locations. With an eye for detail she is able to identify potential design issues, develop a solution with the wider team and successfully negotiate with the local planning authority to secure a planning permission that is deliverable.
Sandy graduated from the University of New England (Australia) in 2009 with a Bach. of Urban and Regional Planning (Hons) and is a Chartered Member of the RTPI.
