As a Senior Planner at Iceni Projects, Ryan is responsible for leading the day-to-day communication on projects. This includes dealing with a range of clients, consulting with local communities, liaising with political representatives and negotiating with officers at local planning authorities.

Building professional relationships, based upon trust and effectiveness of delivery, is something that Ryan excels at and is particularly interested in using innovative participative techniques to engage with hard-to-reach communities.

Ryan has a wealth of experience in the field of planning, placemaking and regeneration, spanning design through to delivery, across the UK and Ireland.

Working collaboratively, thinking strategically and adopting an outcome-based approach all come naturally to Ryan. This is demonstrated in his project experience which includes cross-border development schemes, technical input into various Local Development Plans, helping to secure significant investment as part of multiple City Region Deals and delivering award-winning Masterplans, Heritage and Economic Plans and Regeneration Strategies.

Ryan is also the Royal Town Planning Institute’s UK Young Planner of the Year for 2021 and is a regular conference speaker on the power of planning and its role in creating high-quality, healthy, happy and prosperous places.
