Robbie Gibson

Urban Designer Consultant

Robbie comes from an architectural background completing a Master’s of Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art and has worked as an Architectural Designer on a range of masterplanning, placemaking, urban housing and adaptive re-use projects, most recently working on the North Laurieston Masterplan in Glasgow.

Robbie joined Iceni as an urban designer working between the Glasgow and London offices to help grow the Design Team in Scotland. Currently he is working on green belt urban extensions and new towns as part of the wider strategic land team.

Robbie co-founded and runs MAKEASCENE.glasgow, a research and design collective which explores the participatory city through practice-based research and paid commissions. It focuses on ideas of autonomy, openness and carbon reduction within urban spatial production processes.

He enjoys the overlap between the two roles allowing both intellectual and professional views to further develop competency and expertise within urban design and engagement.
