Before joining the Heritage and Townscape team, Oliver studied History BA (Hons) at the University of York, and the University of Illinois. After graduating he worked at the Heritage of London Trust (HOLT) and then at Paul Archer Design. Oliver’s time at HOLT developed a greater understanding of the conservation needs of heritage, engaging with communities, local boroughs and conservation partners. At Paul Archer Design he furthered his knowledge of the design process and the inner workings of an architectural practice.
Experienced in archival research and holding a broad knowledge on the evolution of British architecture, Oliver has been supporting the team with heritage and townscape appraisals over a variety of projects.
On the side, Oliver has an interest in the performing arts, having played the leading role of Billy Elliot in the West End musical in his younger years.
