Marc joined the Manchester office as an Associate Planner in February 2026. Prior to this, he was part of RJP town planners. At RJP, he built up experience in major infrastructure schemes through a secondment to Network Rail, acting as Consents and Environment Advisor to several Northern Powerhouse Rail programmes.
Over the last decade, Marc has enjoyed a varied career in the wider planning industry. Following his graduation from the University of Sheffield, he worked for a strategic land promoter, helping secure outline planning permission for largescale residential developments in areas with an unmet housing need.
Shortly after obtaining RTPI chartership, he spent five years working overseas across Australia and New Zealand. Down Under, Marc managed a varied range of residential, commercial, infrastructure and land subdivision schemes, navigating each country’s unique environment.
After moving back home, Marc contracted to a Greater Manchester Local Planning Authority to aid in tackling a large backlog of applications caused by Covid-19, issuing 188 decisions in just nine months.
Marc’s highly diverse professional background affords him a broad perspective and the adaptability to handle a wide range of planning challenges.
In addition to the day-to-day, Marc also sits on the North West Regional Activities Committee for the RTPI, acts as an eMentor to University of Sheffield Students, and is a trained End Point Assessor for Level 4 Town Planning Apprentices.
