Lauren has supervised on large infrastructure projects including the A14 and HS2, as well as having worked on a vast number of smaller projects primarily based in London – Lauren has developed a strong understanding and knowledge of complex, deep stratigraphic urban archaeology. Lauren also has experience in training and supporting Archaeologists who are new to the sector.
Lauren spent a year volunteering with the Kent County Council Historic Environment Records (HER) team alongside her role as an Archaeologist – developing an understanding about how archaeological reporting and desk-based assessments are used by the HER team, and how they inform Local Planning Authorities in their decision making process.
Lauren has a strong administrative background, having held roles within finance teams prior to working in Archaeology and later working as a Field Team Administrator, working to support the field and project management teams to help deliver projects.
Lauren has had a keen interest in Archaeology from a young age, having attended and worked with the Young Archaeologists’ Club in Rotherhithe (based in the Pumphouse Education Museum before it closed) prior to studying Archaeology at University.
