Before joining Iceni, Lauren studied Politics for her undergrad at the University of Leeds where she focused on urban policy, political theory and environmental policy, which means she has a great understanding of local, regional and national politics. Lauren went on to study her Masters’ in City Planning with a specialisation in Regeneration at the University of Glasgow. Notably, her group project was awarded best student spatial planning strategy by the RTPI West of Scotland Chapter.
Since joining as an intern with Iceni in January 2023, Lauren has supported on a range of projects including residential schemes, mixed-use schemes and strategic land promotion. In September 2023, Lauren joined Team Strategic as an Assistant Planner and now works across the entire Strategic team assisting on Planning, Socio-Economic and Environmental projects. Lauren is also the Iceni Intelligence lead for Bedfordshire, staying up to date with the counties development planning policies and key planning applications.
Outside of planning, you will usually find Lauren catching some rays abroad, having a boogie on the dancefloor, or playing a cheeky game of chess!
