He has a unique background spanning qualifications in computational physics and urban planning, and has a particular interest in the intersection of large-scale data analysis with town planning policy.
Kieran has project managed or acted as lead analyst on a wide variety of economics and town planning projects, ranging from individual developments to the regional scale. His expertise encompasses a range of topics, including the housing, employment and retail sectors; development viability; demographics; and the development of land use scenarios and forecasts. He has previously been responsible for leading the research and development of innovative economics models and data tools at one of Australia’s leading planning and economics consultancies.
Kieran has a keen understanding of the local authority context which he has developed across his career. Before joining Iceni, Kieran worked at a senior level within the planning policy team of a London borough. At Iceni he has worked on multiple projects for local authorities including economic and employment evidence for Cambridge and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and the Welwyn Hatfield HEDNA. He originally hails from Australia, and also has experience working for local government in Sydney and in providing policy and economics consultancy advice to councils and other levels of government across Australia.
