Jon joined Iceni’s Urban Planning Team with an ambition to diversify his knowledge and has been working on a variety of large-scale residential and industrial projects on behalf of nation-wide developers, housing associations and local councils. He became a fully chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institure (RTPI) in April 2016 and achieved Associate accreditation of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) in August 2017.
Prior to Iceni, Jon completed his degree in Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield, having spent a semester as an exchange student in Denmark and undertaking work placements with Enfield and Haringey councils during the summer breaks.
After graduating, he joined the in-house planning team of Lightsource BP, a global leader in the development and management of solar projects and smart energy solutions. He was responsible for large-scale solar farm planning applications throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland, with these often-contentious projects enabling him to refine his commercial awareness and conflict management skills.
Whilst at Iceni Projects, he has been seconded back to Lightsource BP since September 2018 to assist with their on going projects.
In his spare time he can be seen cycling, climbing and running his way around North London, and is a keen junk food addict.
