Georgia joined Iceni in 2021 having cut her teeth as a heritage specialist working in both private consultancy (Lichfields) and public sector (New Forest National Park Authority). Whilst at Iceni, she developed her particular interest in Townscape, underpinned by a second Masters degree in Urban Design that she completed in 2023. She has led the townscape inputs for a number of large-scale masterplans, tall buildings and town centre regeneration schemes across Central and Outer London, Sheffield, Cardiff, Birmingham, Reading and Guildford, among others, working closely with clients and local authorities to optimise sites and producing supporting Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments. She now leads the team’s Townscape offer.
Georgia also specialises in DCO projects, providing heritage expertise to support the delivery of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) from inception to examination. She is working on a number of DCOs in sectors such as Renewables (Solar) and Industrial / Logistics (Rail Freight Infrastructure). Her excellent technical knowledge and well-honed problem-solving skills allow her to offer pragmatic design advice, positive stakeholder engagement, and timely delivery of complex technical inputs (i.e. Environmental Impact Assessment). She has acted as heritage expert witness at both public inquiry and DCO examination.
She holds a BA(hons) in History of Art from the University of Warwick, an MA in Archaeology of Buildings from the University of York and a second MA in Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University. She is a full member of the Institute for Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) and a member of the National Infrastructure Planning Association (NIPA).
