Esme’s enthusiastic approach to the planning process combined with an eye for detail drives forward planning applications to satisfy clients.

Esme joined the tribe for a placement year in July 2017 between her second and third year of her undergraduate Geography degree at the University of Leeds, this year confirmed her passion for pursuing a career in planning. She has since graduated from Leeds and is currently working part time at Iceni whilst studying a Masters in Spatial Planning at UCL.

She assists members of Team Strategic on wide range of large scale developments within London and the South East, from schools to urban extensions to strategic land promotion. Throughout her placement year and studies Esme has gained valuable knowledge through evidence based research of the Town Planning System enabling her to provide tailored advice to clients and build strong relationships. Esme has assisted on preparation and submission of a range of planning applications, including a substantial Environment Impact Assessment, allowing her to gain management skills of multi-disciplinary project teams and Local Authorities.

When Esme isn’t in the office or studying she enjoys travelling, her two most recent trips have been trekking in the Himalayas and exploring the tea plantations of Sri Lanka.
