Ellen joins Iceni Projects from London-based planning and development consultancy AZ Urban Studio where she worked on wide range of minor and major planning applications for both urban and rural projects within London, the Home Counties and the South West. Ellen has a breadth of experience across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, mixed use, agricultural, education, heritage and green belt and has particular experience on the rural diversification of large country estates.
Prior to her role at AZ Urban Studio, Ellen worked as a Local Authority Planning Officer in North Kent where she gained a strong introduction to the planning system, assessing a wide range of complex development proposals and upholding decisions at planning appeal stage. During her time as a Planning Officer, Ellen studied at the Bartlett School of Planning where she completed a Masters degree in Spatial Planning. Ellen’s Masters degree followed on from her undergraduate degree in Geography and Town Planning from the University of Sheffield.
Ellen joined Iceni Projects in July 2019 and has been working within the Manchester arm of the company. She has begun her experience at Iceni working on large-scale residential development and brownfield regeneration schemes. Ellen is keen to work proactively and efficiently with clients and local authorities to ensure the smooth delivery of development schemes.
