Ben’s specialism is in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and has led the technical assessment for complex projects including for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, residential urban extensions, and industrial logistics hubs. Ben has also provided townscape assessment and design advice on tall buildings.

Ben has experience of reviewing planning applications and preparing advice for local planning authorities. Ben has assisted with multiple characterisation studies in the UK and has led small teams on the preparation of views studies for local planning authorities and developers.

Ben is also skilled in landscape character and sensitivity assessment, and can advise on opportunities and constraints in sensitive landscape contexts.

Ben is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design.
