Ashleigh is an Associate Director within Iceni’s Planning Team.Since joining in May 2018, she has led a broad range of projects, specializing in high-density residential developments within urban brownfield locations. Her expertise is primarily focused on the outer London boroughs and the surrounding regions at the edge of the capital. Currently, Ashleigh is managing several complex urban development schemes, including estate regeneration projects, as well as projects within the alternative residential sector, including proposals for Build-to-Rent, Co-Living, and other residential typologies.
Ashleigh excels in navigating the complexities of constrained brownfield sites, requiring meticulous attention to detail and extensive collaboration with both consultants and local authorities to ensure projects progress smoothly through the planning process.
As the leader of Iceni’s affordable housing sector, Ashleigh is deeply familiar with the challenges of affordable housing delivery. She is currently working with a number of Registered Providers to deliver much-needed affordable homes across the Greater London area.
Prior to her role at Iceni, Ashleigh spent time on secondment to MHCLG, where she played a key role in drafting the NPPF. She began her planning career at Peter Brett Associates, contributing to complex evidence base research for a variety of local authorities within London and beyond.
Ashleigh’s passion for urban planning originated from her undergraduate studies in Geography and Sociology at the University of Aberdeen, followed by an RTPI-accredited MSc in City Planning and Regeneration from the University of Glasgow. She became a Chartered Member of the RTPI in 2018.
