During his career, Alfie has led multidisciplinary teams through complex projects from feasibility studies to planning success, working with local authorities, developers, and land promoters. His technical experience spans the initial site appraisal and analysis stage through to developing concept plans, masterplan frameworks, and parameter plans supporting planning applications. Notable projects include Sheffield’s Heart of the City II regeneration, Oslo’s waterfront quarter at Bispevika, Shaping Guildford’s Future, and destination leisure-led masterplans across London.
Alfie’s approach combines strategic thinking with a focus on delivery, ensuring projects are commercially viable, community-focused, and environmentally resilient. He has expertise in ground floor activation strategies, stakeholder engagement, and communicating complex visions through hand-drawn sketches and digital visualisation.
Prior to joining Iceni, Alfie worked at Leonard Design and is a Public Practice alumni after working at Westminster City Council. He studied architecture at the University of Nottingham and currently returns as a visiting tutor and a mentor for early-career architects. He is also a member of the Merton Design Review Panel.
