Aidan started his career in the traditional construction sector having trained as a Building Conservation Technician and worked as a conservation stone mason across Scotland. He then worked for three different local authorities in the North of England as a Building Conservation Officer as well as a Project Officer for a High Street Heritage Action Zone.
Aidan understands a broad range of processes regarding development in the historic built environment. In a planning context he has advised on a range of scenarios including applications for Listed Building Consent and for developments in Conservation Areas. Aidan has also engaged with on-site conservation work which drives his understanding of the built environment and brings a practical approach to the table.
As well as the qualifications achieved in his apprenticeship, Aidan also has an HND in Architectural Conservation and an MAhons in Architectural History.
