The Iceni Projects Archaeology Team were commissioned by Guy’s & St. Thomas Trust to carry a full suite of Archaeological Services of in support of the planning application for the construction of a ground floor modular extension at Guy’s Hospital (Nuffield House). This included desktop work, the negotiation of a programme of archaeological works with the Local Planning Authority and the physical field work in this archaeologically sensitive part of London.

The team collaborated with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and contractors throughout. The results of the archaeological work are currently being written up and will be publicly accessible upon completion.
