From experience Chris understands that meaningful and effective engagement is built on combining politics, community and communications into a single coherent strategy
Chris joined Iceni’s Manchester team in June 2017. He brings with him 15 years’ experience of various public and private sector roles working in politics, with communities and in communications.
Having run his own communications consultancy, Chris has worked with a range of clients providing public affairs, engagement and strategic communications advice, developing strategies and delivering action plans across the housing, regeneration, property and health sectors.
He also served as a Labour Borough Councillor in Lancashire during which time he held several positions including Group deputy leader, shadow portfolio-holder for regeneration and was planning committee spokesman. Knowledge and experience he now uses to support clients.
Chris has worked with clients on a range of complex and sensitive projects to effectively manage their relationships and reputations whilst minimising risks to the organisation.
For over a decade he worked in frontline politics managing a Member of Parliament’s Office providing political advice, campaign planning, media relations, issues-management and strategic communications. He was the campaign manager responsible for the planning and delivery of three successful general election campaigns in 2010, 2015 and 2017.
Chris’ experience beyond the property sector includes working for a regeneration consultancy, policy development for a local authority in London, and a private sector lobbying organisation.
